Common sense and Democrat is oxymoronic.

This list is off by one with this announcement. There are also comparison numbers from other years.
This list is showing more republicans leaving office rather than democrats across the board. So is something changing this year?
We need more Republicans to resign. There's no point in defeating Dems if we're just electing RINO's and deep state plants.
We sure need to get the right people in. Can anyone here run for offices?
Yes!
The Senate races aren't until 2024 so those numbers aren't significant now. There are many more Dems than Republicans in the House who aren't running next year. If you read the details, it will make more sense to you.
"Last updated November 22, 2021 This page lists the incumbent members of the 117th U.S. Congress who are not running for re-election in the 2022 congressional elections for both U.S. Senate and U.S. House.
As of November 2021, 34 members of Congress—six members of the U.S. Senate and 28 members of the U.S. House—have announced they will not seek re-election. Twenty members—six senators and 14 representatives—have announced their retirement. Five retiring Senate members are Republicans and one is a Democrat, and of the retiring House members, 10 are Democrats and four are Republicans."
Naw those six Senate seats will be up in 2022.
You're right. US Senate is staggered in thirds every two years. i was thinking of our state Senate, which isn't up for re-election until 2024. Sorry for the error.
No apology necessary!
If you read through the the page I linked, it explains some of the people not running are running for other offices, such as governor of their states. Another factor is redistricting, which Republicans control in many states but not all. Those new districts will be in place until the next census in 2030.
Damn how many is that now, 20?
Anyone know the total?
