There's plenty of illnesses where someone can be a carrier but not be feeling symptoms of the illness. Remember typhoid Mary? That's what was happening with her, she was a carrier for typhoid and kept getting the people around her sick even though she wasn't.
Typhoid does not replicate by exploding your lung cells and killing your lung tissue. Covid has to swell and kill lung cells to replicate and spread.
Typhoid mary had to constantly wipe her own shit into peoples food to spread typhoid because it spread from ongoing replication in her digestive system, since she had typhoid. So she never wiped her hands and got a job as a cook where everything she served that was undercooked had live typhoid in it because she wiped shit on her food.
