I'm just curious how many people here have had at least 1 jab for any reason.
For example:
-
you were forced into it by your job but would never have gotten it otherwise.
-
you were ok with getting it the first time, but maybe now you don't want another jab.
-
You are ok with getting it for yourself but still believe it should be a choice for others.
-
"other"
Also curious how many people here have someone in the same home you live in who is vaccinated (spouse, parent, etc). And have any of you experienced any side effects, getting sicker than usual, or anything else worth noting?
Report back after your 20th booster please
Can do.
Do you have a personal line in the sand, as far as how many boosters you are willing to take considering you can still catch covid anyway? And are you concerned at all with any of the reported adverse events?
Not really. I get a flu shot every year. Viruses mutate, and vaccines have to be updated to remain effective. This isn’t anything surprising or new. I can still catch Covid, but so far, it appears less likely that I can die or suffer severe side effects, and am less likely to catch it at all, so I’m not going to approach this with an all-or-nothing attitude. Perfection is the enemy of progress, and all that.
If you’re talking about confirmed problems with the vaccine, sure. But they are extraordinarily rare as far as the data has shown so far, and after watching several of my coworkers still dealing with Covid side effects more than a year later, I am more trying to avoid those.
If you’re talking about VAERS, no. VAERS is a tip line. They accept and post literally everything without verifying that any of it has to do with the vaccine. I am glad we have a tip line like VAERS, but am not interpreting those numbers as being representative of confirmed vaccine side-effects. VAERS is the first step scientists use to establish whether a problem even exists. It confirms nothing on its own.
So you've seen the data?
