Why is it when liberals do something it's a sacred duty to humankind but when conservatives do something it has the stench of being political? Answer that, Sotomayor.
Amazes me how they bandy their words when it is simply making a moral decision. I'd say God have mercy on the ones that end up supporting abortion but I honestly don't think He will.
Democrats go into a case with the outcome predetermined; they just have to find a plausible legal reason to get there. Conservatives start with the facts, consider the arguments, and consult the law. There's a difference in approach that, when followed, results in fewer decisions that have to be overturned. The decisions also tend to be on much stronger moral and logical footing.
I agree with the point that more recent cases can overturn the precident case. When Roe was initially argued there was 'missing' information that now is common. Ultrasound was not used regularly when I had my kids; now we can literally see the baby grow and move in every pregnancy.
Also today there are various methods to prevent an unwanted pregnancy...thats the time the woman should choose.
The whole reason 'they' want to keep abortion legal is 1-we the taxpayers pay for it and 2-organ harvesting.
Stare decicis is a joke played on us to make precedent the rule of law.
The Constitution as Thomas points out inconveniently stands in the way. Case law is a distraction. This is a state issue. Overturn roe and let the people of each state decide
Then this unrighteous shit won't affect the entire nation only te stupid states that keep it.
If I can't choose to not get jabbed, a woman can't choose not to have her baby.
