Tucker has always been conservative in the neo-con sort of way. After 9/11 he championed Dick Cheney and supported the greatest usurpation of Americans rights at the benefit of government (aka the Patriot Act).

Carlson is as typical of the inside the beltway "conservatives" as they come.
