I have a CSS problem. Any web designers know how to define foreign language fonts?
My problem is that I have a page that renders fine on my Mac but when I upload it to the server the foreign characters display in the browser as [?][?][?][?][?][?][?]
P.s. I'm a whiz at English. I do copy-editing for a publisher.
You might try searching on yandex.com for "css fonts pc versus mac". I use Yandex to get more complete results than Google will give.
Some of the top results might have the answer for you.
There are some differences in fonts for the two platforms, and some browsers handle fonts differently. For the browsers, there's some code you can add at the top of your html to check for which browser. That helped me with another problem I had a few years ago.
I can do web pages, but I only learn what I have to for the task at hand. So I'm not an expert.

What characters?
Using unicode?
What browser?
Have you tried ALL the browsers?
How did you code it? By hand/fresh or use someone elses code?
