So going to wait it out a tad, to see if they go through with it, but full on vaccine passports are basically here in South Korea. They are going to require them to go into restaurants, bars, and cafes. It's hard to see Koreans putting up much of a fuss considering they are now working on vaccinating 5 year old kids here.

I'm weighing the option of coming back to the states about 2-3 years earlier then planned, possibly in July. My original home and where most of my family is at is in Charlotte, NC.... I really don't want to live in the city, but could live maybe an hour away in the NC mountains might be nice?

I want to do what is best for my 1 year old son as a new dad I didn't think these decisions would weigh on me so much, making the right decision for his future is paramount to me. I would like to be close to my mom and family, but I've also been thinking about a fly over state one that is deep red and has no vaccine mandate crap and like minded people.... in Charlotte, 99% of my friends and family are like minded too.

I do own a small online business that does ok enough, I'm not rich by any stretch, very much middle income, wife stays at home and we both raise our son, so we could really move anywhere.

Would you guys recommend staying near family and friends, or moving in the middle of the country, or is staying near friends and family best even if that puts me closer to a big city and NC's vaccine and mandate shit? While not worried currently, my business did have the worst year since I started this year, so it's not guaranteed I will not have to be employed at some point... so mandated vaccines could be an issue.

I value the thoughts on here, so any advice would be wonderful.
