I know President Trump's pro vaccine stance still confuses people but he has to say these things to keep the media off his back, its optics. There are still people dying from covid. If president Trump came out as a antivaxxer, every person who dies from covid this day forward, who refused the vaccine, President Trump WOULD be blamed. It would be front page news EVERY day. TRUMP KILLED ANOTHER!!! Its that simple. The media would use it pull attention away from the true killers.
For all of those who question President Trump's attempt to save lives, you can blame the bureaucracy. He tried to get the cure in to the hands of the people and was stopped by people who had blatant conflicts of interest.
Here is the Zelenko story.
According to Dr. Zelenko, (video below) President Trump issued a executive order to flood the streets of New York and New Jersey with Hydroxychloroquine. That order went to United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Alex Azar.
Afterwards a email was sent out by Assistant Secretary for Health Brett Giroir, the Director of FEMA Pete Gaynor, Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) Robert Kadlec and the FDA pushing the Presidents directive. That email went to Dr. Rick Bright of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority.
Dr. Rick Bright said he disagreed with the President's directive and collaborated with the current Commissioner of the FDA Janet Woodcock to come up with a EUA to administer Hydroxychloroquine to hospitalized patients only, restricting its use as early treatment in the outpatient setting.

I looked for a EO and Presidential Directive from trump on Hydroxychloroquine and I could not find one. Dr. Zelenko may have misspoke.
Here is a letter from Senator Ron Johnson Urging Action on Hydroxychloroquine to President Trump. I can't find any response other than the public advocacy for the use of HCQ from the President. https://www.ronjohnson.senate.gov/2020/4/johnson-forwards-letter-urging-action-on-hydroxychloroquine-to-president-trump
Here is a 2005 study from the NIH, "Chloroquine is a potent inhibitor of SARS coronavirus infection and spread" Fauci was the head of the NIH and knew HCQ would stop the pandemic. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16115318/
Here is a very good article and video from Sharyl Atkinson interviewing doctors on the use and benefits of Hydroxychloroquine and the conflicts of interest associated with the doctors who were fighting the drug. Fauci refused to comment. https://fullmeasure.news/news/cover-story/hydroxychloroquine
Stay safe my frens!!

With that logic, how does Trump escape being blamed by msm when he’s actively taking credit for the vax and pushing it at the same time? Seems like equally bad optics, no?
Is Trump pushing the vaccine or is Biden / media pushing it? I see Biden and the media pushing the vaccine every day, all day. Its not Trump's responsibility to stop the vaccine at this point, if there are adverse reactions it should be the Biden admin who stops it. It will be the Biden admin who gets blamed for not halting the vaccine program after knowing there were issues. Once the collective media turns on the Biden admin and starts reporting the adverse reactions, you will see Trump's stance change.
They’re both pushing it. Even Ivanka pushed it and took it on camera.
“Optics” would be way better if Trump just remained silent or neutral on the issue. It really looks retarded at this point to promote it imo. But hey, what the fuck do I know.
I think the media intentionally press him on the vaccine issue hoping he says something they can use. If the President came out neutral on the subject the media would still excoriate him for no support. The media knows President Trump is very influential with the people. Luke warm support or silence on the subject would be used against him. They would tie covid deaths and Trump's hesitancy together. The media is blood thirsty.
The msm attacks him regardless. I don’t think Trump has ever been hesitant to take arrows from them regardless of the subject matter.
Why not stay neutral on the vax and promote the therapeutics? They can’t attack that at this stage without looking seriously retarded.
There’s obviously missing pieces to this puzzle but with all the information I’ve digested, I just can’t reconcile it as a coherent strategy. To be honest, I haven’t heard a coherent argument as to why without some serious gymnastics involved either. Hopefully it becomes obvious in short order for all of us.
don't discount the notion that Trump was "convinced" on vaccines sometime during his presidency and he really has no clue about vaccines and public health. There's no one in his inner circle, with any advisory influence at least, who would be in alignment with say an RFK Jr.
Political figures should simply shut up on public health issues if they have no skillsets or education relevant to public health and medicine.
