To be fair, fearing an uprising of the delusional is rational. They make important decisions based on faith instead of evidence and facts, therefore they can not be reasoned with.

I bet you're right. I'll look into it, but my bet is it's the same tired philosophical-arguments-substituted-for-evidence I encountered back in the early 2000s when I decided to seriously get to the bottom of the issue.
I feel like turning up the first evidence in two thousand years of something billions of people have sought all that time would have been big news. Why hasn't the world heard of this guy?
