My mother had one of those tomato pin cushions. It wasn't a perfect ball shape or else it would be unstable and roll around. I believe in the Church of Christ, not churches. The first is spiritual, the second is organizational. The organizational Christians can get upset if their cherished teachings and long held perceptions are questioned.
