Yep, I worked for a big power company for many years. I always thought that they had agreed with the government too easily when "forced" to shutdown and tear down their old coal burners. But soon realized they did it so that ,at some point, the government would come back to them and beg them to get back on coal. Then the government would subsidize the brand new coal plants just like they subsidized the wind and gas plants. They make tons of money on both ends.
