This is how it must be.

"blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted"

Let's analyse that.

If you do not face or receive the truth, you cannot find the correct emotional response. The correct emotional response to the reality of the fallen world is sorrow, misery, heartache and pain.

But once you process that, digest that, a) you will know the heart of God much more profoundly, know that the Creator grieves each and every day, and suffers heartache everyday, because of what his beloved children are dealing with. b) you will discover the internal fortitude to grow your faith, grow your capacity to stand in sovereign will, and impact on the world.

Because of a) and b), you will be in a place to truly appreciate the value, the preciousness of the prize, because you know the cost at which it was purchased.

** People are in denial because they are afraid, and far too insecure to face the misery, and digest it. So, they choose denial. They know this, internally, but the deny that as well, keeping it all buried.

** True freedom comes from internal freedom united with external freedom. One cannot be truly free internally without first facing, and digesting the pain, suffering and anguish of a world languishing in pain and torture (which this world is).

So I repeat, "blessed are they that mourn, for they shall be comforted"

We are being purified in the fire of tribulation of the heart.
