My cousin is a lab technician in a hospital she said at first they were just doing pcr when people came in sick and after the doctors realized it wasn’t accurate which was a long time ago they started doing pcr,regular flu, and strep throat test and if those came back negative and pcr positive they would “assume” covid so that’s not even accurate
