They don't need to be. Their culture makes them that way though.
I've worked with many Asian kids. They're just as energetic and creative and fun as any other kids you've seen.
Their parents and schools do everything they can to crush their spirits out of them. It's sick.
I see small children in Asia run around screaming and yelling while the parents sit at their restaurant table enjoying their meal without a care in the world about what their little hellspawn is doing. Watch what happens if they get a bad math score though. Oh my god. Hell hath no fury...
But, also watch a small child who's swinging their arm around with a biiiig smile on their face "la la la, la la la... " the happiest little kid in the world... the evil mom will smack them and yell at them for "causing trouble".
