Opinions needed please. to make a video intro for a podcast im doing. I had someone do the voice over and I did the video.

Hello, I was on a team of animators for the show The Amazing Race: Alaska. I will provide you with my opinions.

Video Aspect

0:00: to 0:16: The morph transitions are strange. Use a more traditional transition like fade or hard cut.
0:00: to 0:16: Flynn speaking: This shows Flynn speaking and it switches back and forth between him and imagery. There are too many transitions, show him in the beginning, but then transition to the still frames, but don't go back to him. We know who it is, it becomes distracting with the awkward transitions.
0:00: to 0:16: "And so the" [frame switch] American people, its an awkward transition and strange effect. It should fade transition to the video at "And" as soon as he speaks. it will feel more natural.
0:16: Transitioning to the black "fact screen" is nice. Keep it.
0:16 to 0:27: The scanlines are a bit too strong and too large.
0:34 should be faded to black, not a hard cut.
0:41 to 0:42 the imagery of black SUVs is used more than once, change this first instance of it to something else, maybe related to truth, liberty etc.

Audio Aspect

0:00: Audio Fade In is recommended.
0:07: Flynns audio is slightly lower than the other two clips.
0:16: Fact voice is nice, very "radio"
0:51: "Has failed...>thanks for being one of us" starts too abruptly, add a little more pause before saying it.
1:16: If you have to fill time this is fine but if you can trim the time 1:16 is a good end.
1:34: Fade the marching steps out instead of the sudden stop.

Overall

Pretty nice,
There are a few odd moments to the video
The video has more issues than the audio

Do you mean the TV Color thing transition? those interruptions in the three clips are because his full video of that speech had a lot of other comments in them so i broke it up. was trying to do a glitch type thing.

This is a great idea.. I will look into changing that.

hahaha my brain was fried I think at this moment. You gave a good idea, I will look for a clip to replace.

AUDIO I cant get the voice over redone unfortunately but I can make the changes to some of it.

OVERALL

Thanks for making such a detailed post! never expected it! I basically taught myself how to do all this last night from youtube videos and trial and error lol thats probably why the video had all the issues! hahaha

I am going to make the changes you recommended! awesome help and very grateful! thank you!
