I am searching for a job (linkedIn) and noticed the pendulum swinging over the last couple weeks. A growing number of companies were posting covid policies and referencing executive orders as their compliance for vaccine mandates until this week.
Many of these companies are removing the mandate language from their websites and offer letters. I spoke to a buddy of 20 years who is in executive management of a large software company. He told me he was on a management meeting this morning where a legal decision has been made to remove all the mandate language from their new hire process documentation. He said its a mess but most people were relieved when legal decided to course-correct.
I went back to a handful of companies I passed on (due to covid mandates) and all but one had since removed the mandate language.
There are still diehards out there but it looks like winning if you ask me. Good luck to those looking for work.
An internet search with “companies not mandating vaccine” returns mostly lists of companies that do require the jab but it also returns job boards that do not as it has become a popular search criteria. I have not found any official list of companies that do not require it so it will likely take a bit of effort to find it. Usually on the company’s career page under FAQ’s
