It's time for formal anti-corruption laws that carry the noose at a minimum. I guess "Treason" was supposed to cover that, but fine whatever. If we need a law to close every loophole against corruption then fine. I'd rather have a government that can barely function cause it's hands are tied than... well any other government, really.
If you will remember, the FEDERAL anti-lynching legislation was stuck in the Senate and going nowhere.
The attempted "lynching" of Jussie Smollett unleashed worldwide headlines across the globe, revealing to the public the urgent need for Federal Legislation to tackle this persistent scourge of modern times.
Of course, there probably hasn't been one in decades, but Politicians in backwoods districts knew full well the parental wrath that would be unleashed when their children start being force fed propaganda teaching them sexual deviancy, hatred of their Country, and hatred of their race and culture.
Who would participate without a guarantee from the Feds that they would step in and protect them?
Anyway, the legislation flew through Congress after that in a matter of days, if memory serves correctly.

Legal justice is not lynching.
