The majority of the members of the Roman Catholic Church, or as the Church calls them, the laity, did not support the abuse.
But the leadership, from the parish level to diocese level and all the way to the top, actively covered up the abuse. Not only did the leadership cover it up and not turn the offending priests and bishops over to the police, they also moved the priests to new locations and pretended the abuse never happened. They were complicit.
No, only some did, not the majority.
The ones who did are obviously complicit, including the pope. But the only parish priests who helped in the cover up were the ones who were part of the abuse. There are hundreds of thousands of priests, and about 1% of them are actively involved in covering up and performing these abominable acts.
Now do baptists, anglicans, assemblies of God, lutherans, episcopalians etc
you will find similar stats
I've read about cases against Christians of other denominations and I've never seen one case where the churches moved the offending pastors around the country so they could abuse again.
The closest thing I was able to find was this-

I've never claimed children aren't also sexually abused at Protestant schools or Protestant churches (or public schools or government day care centers, for that matter).
Here's the difference.
This Alabama pastor was a serial child rapist; victim shocked at 15-year sentence

See that part about providing great support? That's the difference.
The Roman Catholic priests, bishops, archbishops, and cardinals do not cooperate in secular investigations unless they're absolutely forced to.
That’s not true. The ones that don’t cooperate are complicit.
What's not true? The Vatican ordered dioceses to keep the abuse under wraps and to not report it to the local authorities, and there's a paper trail that proves it.
Why do you think Pope Benedict really resigned?

The Roman Catholic Church, as an organization, has harbored pedophiles and moved them around the world to shield them from prosecution.
The Protestant churches in the United States, by and large, do not do that.
The Alabama pastor in the article I linked to got away with his abuse for years because he groomed his victims. He was a sick individual and should have swung from a rope instead of being sentenced for 15 years and likely getting out in 3-5 years for "good behavior," but that's an entirely different issue.
Once the abuse accusations were made, the local church turned him directly over to the justice system. They didn't shield him from the authorities and send him from Alabama to Georgia so he could start the cycle of abuse all over again.
That's the difference, and Snap Network has the receipts of what the Roman Catholic Church has done.

If you deny it, you're either willfully ignorant or a pedo defender.
