It's a diplomatic stunt to further push the Chinese towards war. Combine that with our own military gutting itself by pushing out pure bloods, you get a recipe for Chinese Global Hegemony when no effective force will withstand them. If the US military is weakened enough, you think our "Allies" will stand against the Chinese?
