He probably switched sides. People don't seem to understand the guy is really really old. He comes from a completely different time. He may not have known a single thing about the pedophiles he was working next to. He definitely turned a blind eye to all the illegal things they did, but that was unfortunately normal for the time and he probably thought it wasn't worth going after. He was chosen because they knew the 1996 election was rigged against him, especially with Ross Perot splitting the vote. He did his best to get Reform party policies in place but ultimately it didn't matter because Bill Clinton had a lot of appeal and charm he didn't have.
