My family all think he’s turning the corner but I am watching his blood work on MyChart and his WBC are still racing upward and are far outside the norm and his liver enzymes look wonky. I am not a doctor but sometimes doesn’t look right. It’s honestly like there’s some kind of spell on people. It’s super weird.

Yes it's wonky! They will keep him in there as long as they can as they get extra money for every covid patient they have in the hospital - more if the patient is in ICU! Can you sneak him some ivermectin?
^this. If they are intubated try a topical application (rub on skin) This article states that one, maybe two applications are effective in scabies https://europepmc.org/article/med/8561270. Of course, ivermectin is traditionally seen as a parasite treatment, and people have been given pills. the point is that a topical application also works. From my private investigations (n = 2) this works. If anything it is more powerful. The advantage is that you can just stroke the person's hand, or give them a footrub.
If they keep the pressure high for the lung, the pressure turns the lung tissue to mush. Lowering I would have seen as a good sign. My sister was at max on BiPAP and she was getting worse not better.
