What is wrong with listening to intelligent people? You may not agree with everything they say but OPEN your mind, that is all you have to do. He brings up some very interesting technology of magnet driven cars which to me sounds incredibly tangible as the technology is there, it is used in roller coasters it just needs the development on control.
