Started block walking yesterday and already had a few good conversations with neighbors. I’m still new to this, so if any of you have block walked before, I’d love any tips and advice.

Precinct chairs are an elected volunteer position here in Texas.
Most all of ours are appointed because no one will run. Our precinct chairs just attend meetings and do absolutely nothing in their precinct. We can't even get the Rep judges to hand out the info on the County Convention, it stinks!
Do these positions require a lot of time?
Would I be able to maintain a full-time job/ family life?
What if i work evening/ night shift?
You think my employers are required to release me for my civic duties?
Ive head KrisAnne Hall talking about this. SOunds like something we all need to do.
I work full-time, am a wife, plus homeschool my child. To be honest, you can put as much effort/time into it as you wish, but I do what I my work and family life schedule allows. I wish I could dedicate myself full time, but couldn’t unless it was my full-time job. Most of my participation time is in the evenings or on the weekends.
Not sure about the employer releasing for civic duties. I know mine wouldn’t, but I work for a woke corporation.
You can do it, fren! If you have the motivation to want to make changes starting at your local level don’t be afraid to throw your hat into the ring.👍😉
