After the 1/6 event he streamed a long video of him taking the call from the Feds. He was extremely articulate and I had the impression he was a professional.
So I think he donned the wacky outfit for a few events to get some (historical) video out there. Then on the big day he made himself front and center.
BUT
He didn't break in to the building.
He didn't encourage anybody to break in or do any vandalism.
He was very polite in discussion with the Capitol Police
He didn't threaten anybody or cause any damage.
All he did was walk around and let himself get photographed.
He made himself the face of Q followers.
In short, I think he is a good guy, and his mission was to take all the arrows so he became the face of 1/6 rather some innocent person.
Actions speak louder than words and his words are well composed, as well as his pleasant demeanor. Also during the Capitol incident he didn't "pop off".
He harps consistently that fear is the poison. He doesn't push any fear and actually steers away from the fear elements in that presentation.
