Has anyone watched it? My husband does and I pay attention when I'm in the room with him. I do enjoy James Spader and he's quite good in this role. I like his dark character who is willing to take care of business. Is he considered a white hat type?

The only reason to watch that show at this point is James Spader. I could watch that man read the back of a cereal box.
Other than that, I think they wrote themselves into so many corners that it's barely fun to watch anymore. They'll start one mystery, make it the focus of a whole season, then answer that mystery with another mystery that has to be solved first. And then spend another season on that. Rinse and repeat.
It's obvious that whatever plan they originally had was so easily guessed by fans of the show that they just add complicated layer after layer, hoping to stall so that eventually they might serendipitously stumble across a reveal so profound and mind-blowing that everyone will be ashamed for doubting their story-weaving skill. They won't, but they'll stall as long as they can.
Still, at least we can enjoy James Spader monologues.
I do believe he is the main reason I pay attention to the show, but other things are somewhat compelling enough to kind of keep me interested. I've always liked him and would definitely watch him read a box of cereal, too.
JS kept me watching until that extra shitty last season🐸
