I don’t understand it at all, a good friend of ours, went and got his booster we tried he knows we won’t. He and his wife waited three hours in line at a car drive up clinic, yes no joke. He got the jab and was really sick for three days. Yes absolutely nuts, I should add he’s from the Netherlands where it nuts too.
They live in a different reality.
When my liberal friend got her first vaccine and felt sick, she called her friend about it. He told her that he got sick from his first dose before, but he hadn't told her because he didn't want to scare her. She nodded empathetically and kept going on as usual. He lied to her. She understood. And she was glad. Even asked me if I want to get jabbed.
How intelligent people have so bad judgment sometimes baffles me.
It’s a “reality” they wish to believe in. If they pretend hard enough, ignore actual reality and make enough excuses when it slams them with the consequences, they can still cling to that narrative. The heart attacks, myocarditis, cancers, shingles and myriad of other resultant ills will be “explained away” - until they can no longer be denied. They don’t want to believe that these drugs are dangerous and so they pretend that they’re not. There are different kinds of intelligence and your pal sounds as if she’s lacking in emotional intelligence. It’s childlike, but far from endearing. I’ve got liberal friends just like her. It’s very sad.
Perfect example of cognitive dissonance ☝🏼
