Are the ladies the only ones standing up to mask mandates? I am seldom out, but when I am, there appears to be a severe shortage of men.
The last two times I have publicly declined to wear a mask the men around me were fully masked!
First time it happened, guy in line in front of me complied reluctantly when told by the Panda Express employee that he "had to wear a mask to receive service" and then he promptly ripped it off and began filming me when I, next in line behind him, informed the employee politely that I would not care to wear a mask and would pass on the discrimination of being served outside as well today, thank you. It took a little standing in place and holding my ground, but I got my food - inside like a normal person - and went on my way.
Today, at the public library I was told a mask mandate went back into effect in that county today so I had to wear a mask. I thanked the librarian for offering the free mask and told her "I am not participating in that. I'll just return these books to you and then head back outside." So, I did.
Except I was at the library for a meeting that was scheduled with my son's vaxxed libtard school teacher (She makes 80k+ per year approving orders I place online for his curriculum and ensuring I am making him fulfill min state standards. It's a racket.). I called her twice from outside the library to let her know we were there as scheduled but could not meet indoors. No answer.
Back in the library I went. I explained the situation to the masked young gentlemen at the front desk since lady librarian who helped me before was with another customer. Asked if he would like me to walk back and inform the teacher we would have to meet outside or if he would like to go tell her. He would tell her. Ok. I waited there.
While waiting the old guy at the counter next to me, struck up a conversation. I told him this is very worrying and asked wasn't he concerned that we were being asked to go outside? His mask below his nose he replied "a lot of us just wear it under our nose. " I responded. "Yes, well. It seems my generation must fix this. We will. I will not pretend to signal compliance with this nonsense."
We were calm and quiet in our exchange but had still captured the attention of the room. Third gentleman, fully masked, approaches me and interrupts conversation with the old guy to say " You're doing the right thing." It was all I could do to remain polite and not respond, "Yes, and why arent you?"
WHERE ARE THE AMERICAN MEN WITH GIANT BALLS AND NERVES OF STEEL THAT I ADMIRED IN MY YOUTH??? WHERE, OH WHERE ARE YOU???? I do believe you're there somewhere and I'm just not bumping into you. Maybe you're reading this thread.
On the plus side, it was quite cold, windy and uncomfortable sitting outside today and it was extremely gratifying to me that my son's vaxxed, happy to be a mask wearing, libtard teacher had to sit out there with us and share the experience of our discriminatory treatment with us. If this is the way we "show the people" I am all for it!
I am normally such a rule follower that I had no idea being a rebel could bring so much pleasure. Just high quality entertainment for me today and bonus my son enjoyed meeting outside too (though I would have preferred if he could have looked for new books).
I made sure our appointment with our overpaid libtard teacher lasted every single minute of the allotted hour. 😂 As my son would say - Merry Christmas, you filthy animal!!!
Power move. Nicely played!
