I am guilty of being ornery sometimes but I'm also old so that gets me a pass, right?
Ok true story
So our neighbors who are older than I am hired a lawn guy. He parked his truck and lawn trailer on my yard. Normally I wouldn't get so steamed but there was another lawn guy years ago that turned our yard into a muddy mess. So was totally triggered when I saw it.
So I go over to him and yelled at him. He said he would move it. I said no you don't have to move it. Just don't do it again.
So he left it there for an hour or so. But then he decides to move it after all. He's trying to back his lawn trailer up but he isn't very good at it and people are honking at him and he rips my neighbor's mailbox out of the ground.
Now I feel like shit because the poor lawn guy is on his knees in December in NY trying to dig out the hole with his hands to put the mailbox back.
So I bring over a post hole digger and a couple other digging tools I thought might help.
Neighbor's mailbox is still all fucked up and not right. Lawn guy didn't tell neighbor about it. Neighbor thinks a random driver did it.
I tried to help the neighbor but he said he doesn't want any help that he will deal with it in the springtime.
So I'm getting to the point.
I got mad and shot my mouth off at the lawn guy and I should have waited until I cooled down. That lawn guy was not the one who trashed our yard years ago. This was a new lawn guy, and I didn't take that into account.
Now I caused this situation, and my neighbors have to deal with this wonky mailbox all winter because didn't just take a moment to calm down.
See? It was relevant to the post after all!
Dominoes… one act of kindness, in a moment, can change the course of anyones day. Tomorrow make that effort! We’re only human
I'd be pissed off as well, the ruts would be their all winter
Neighbor's lawnguy parked in your yard? You were much nicer than anyone would have expected. None of that was your fault.
