It's something I've been aware of for years, but as with most simple things it can get easily overlooked.
People have been conditioned to believe that words are actions even whilst the 'actions' appear to be contrary to the words.
Virtue signalling is a prime example of this.
They got people to do it themselves, and to each other, so much so that when the MSM and government started doing it they just believed whatever the fuck they were told, without seeing that the actions didn't match.
This is how they convinced the world that Trump was the evil one, causing TDS, even though he did more for Americans in 4 years than any other presidents did in 40.
Maybe just stumbled upon the key to all of this...I used to be hard-set against 'everyone can be saved through Christ', prescribing more along the lines of 144,000 get saved. Could this be the underlying reason for Christ's incarnation? God realized tough love made it worse and the 'safety net' had extended for them to feel like they could move forward? Obviously they've proven to be the toughest of students, still reluctant to humble themselves, still rebellious against those who 'deserve' to be saved instead of learning a emulating.
Can't thank you enough for this OP...even if I'm missing the mark this opened up a door for me that I was blind to.
Jehovah's Witnesses preach that 144,000 saints in heaven nonsense. One of them tried to tell me that back when I was in high school. I immediately replied that he should read the rest of Revelation 7. There were 12,000 sealed from each tribe of Israel. Then Verse 9 says: ". . . a great multitude, which no man could number, of all the nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne . . ."
Also, most people miss Verse 14 which says: "These are they which came out of the great tribulation . . ." This destroys pre-trib (along with other verses).
One should read the Bible repeatedly and study it.
Yea, sorry to get you riled up (not sorry actually, good to see that in response :p) I worded that poorly...was trying to use that as the other extreme end of the spectrum to note I've been that side of 'center'.
I've never held any denomination or been a member of a church. My faith and relationship with God has been personal, salvation of others being something unsaid. Which makes sense in retrospect...it's none of my business, and often times trying to intercede has the opposite effect one intends.
I was just correcting the 144,000 stuff for everyone. So many people read that one verse and stop.
