First, we have no idea what the terms of the settlement are - it could very well be 10 percent of the original demand.
Second, we have no idea what the financial position of NBC or their parent company is.
Third, we don't even know whether they have insurance to cover these types of settlements.
To somehow conflate the news of this settlement with NBC being "at the brink of financial ruin" is quite a stretch, and embarrassingly shoddy work on the part of this 'news' organization - the very definition of clickbait.
