I live in Florida. Went to a packed Steakhouse, last night. Wine was flowing. Conversations being had. People happy.
Not a mask in sight.
Bunch of hypochondriacs polluting Blue states with their paranoia and fear mongering.
It's mind blowing to see millions of Blue State people living in haze of fear and stupidity. They've stopped being human.
They're already DEAD.
So back a couple months ago for my birthday dinner, SO and I headed to one of our favorite restaurants in Titusville well known for rock shrimp. If you live in the area, you know which one I am talking about. Been going there many times a year for 20 + years, but hadn't been since the beginning of this madness....
Anyway, pulled into the parking lot, and it was quite empty - which for a Saturday would normally have been completely packed. Get to the door, and saw the "Masks Required to Enter" sign. Scoffed and figured it was like all the other places, and wouldn't be enforced. Get to the hostess and we were asked if we had masks - if not - they'd provide them for us. Asked if they were serious - YES. Had to wear the mask to get to the table, then you could take them off.
Ha! NOT a PHRICKING CHANCE! Wheeled around back to the car. Noticed that they were pretty empty inside and what normally would have been a high din of activity, was pretty darned quiet.
Got back into the car and headed to another favorite on the cruise ship canal at Port Canaveral. Used to be known for serving fresh Lionfish - but hasn't had it on the menu for a while... Though there is still a large fish tank of them in the shop across the parking lot. Again, if you are from the area, you probably know which one I am talking about.
Big Tiki hut bar outside, a hundred folks packed in, dining at the outside tables, having a great time - - - - only a couple folks with masks on. Inside, tables jam packed with folks, again dining and having a great time - and only a couple masks seen. NO SIGNAGE at the front door at all.
FLORIDA ROCKS!!!!!
