So now the war begins. Their plan failed. As @Jack said, it was a trap, and now they see it. They have no way out, except to fight, and no way to win, except to exterminate us.

Agreed. You have to let the noise exist. Is up to us to learn to tune that out, and find the signal.

I honestly believe when a signal is sent it'll be undeniable and extremely clear and possibly internal. Something akin to the opening scene of boondock saints. Maybe it's a soul signal.
