It’s been quite a long time since I moved to Japan, so speaking as someone who hasn’t lived in the US in this century… The idea of getting any sort of medical procedure performed on me at a pharmacy is fucking insane. Perhaps it’s a step up from getting surgery at McDonald’s, but not by that much.
I agree. In nursing school we were actually taught how to give injections. There was even an exam. I got a flu shot about ten years ago at Walgreens, and had to tell the person how to do it. She seemed to have no clue. She wasn't any kind of med tech, just someone who worked there .That was the one and only flu shot I ever had (as an adult).
