The higher the frequency, the more easily it is absorbed by stuff hence a chain of amplifiers is required to get the signal where it needs to go.
To that end, if you get too close to an amplifier, you can get hit with a high blast of RF hence why they are positioned so high up from where humans are.
I’ve noticed a lot of antennas very low to ground, under 25’, not sure what band. Also antenna mounted to residential apartment buildings where the adjacent buildings are very close. Can’t be good
The other way they solve the issue of high freq frying people is they turn down the wattage. That means you have to get the antenna closer though. The problem with this drone footage is they flew up near a high output high frequency area. Any tiny little weakness in that cheep drone and it was almost guaranteed to fall out of the sky. Take the drones battery pack, toss it in the microwave, and set it to 2 min on power setting 2-3. That's what they just did.
NOTE... I'm not saying its safe. I have my doubts about any of this shit being safe.
