Apparently, the Bad Guys use a handful of lawyers for everything from commiting crimes to defending themselves against it. I admit, it seems pretty shrewd to purposefully submit a lawyer who "might" (kek) be connected to higher up crimes on the food chain and thus get a peak at Durham's hand. But it's also so incredibly stupid. Shakespearen really.
