I agree, we're supposed to love and forgive our enemies. think it will be the ultimate lesson, praying for/forgiving the criminals. showing that we can rise above the mess.
Luke 6:35
But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and [to] the evil.
AND this verse^ about forgiveness of enemies, is from the section of the Bible referred to as the Q-Source (common material between Matthew and Luke) so many great teachings, everyone needs to read it.
