Asked if he will sue the pants off the media, Kyle ignores that question and says he wants to focus on the liar Lin Wood.
WTF?
If somebody raised $2,000,000 to bust me out of jail, I think I would be thankful, not vindictive.
A lot of people (media, politicians, self-styled "experts") lied about Kyle's actions on the night in question. I don't think Lin was one of them.
Weird.
According to Wood, that is not what happened.
Kyle's attorney, John Pierce, filed for Habeas Corpus. It was a legal maneuver, and he thought he would get Kyle out without having to pay any bail.
But that didn't work. The Habeas Corpus was denied. Before Pierce could file an appeal, the judge ordered Kyle to be immediately transported from Illinois juvie jail to Wisconsin adult jail, where he was put into the general population. At the time, BLM had a contract hit on Kyle to kill him.
Because Pierce and Wood both thought Kyle was NOW in danger (but wasn't before), Wood's foundation took the money they had raised to help Kyle ($1,250,000), and added to that another $600,000 of OTHER funds (not related to Kyle), plus $150,000 LOAN from Rick Schroder.
That brought it up to $2,000,000 for the bail, and they immediately paid the bail to get him out.
They did not "leave him locked up for 87 days" just because.
At least, according to Lin. To me, his story makes more sense than Kyle's.
