And when you take a big, long break, and refuse to re-saturate yourself in it each & every minute of every day.
Look; I get it; I'm absolutely just as guilty as anyone, but I'm also for certain reasons good at checking out (not sure if you'd call it full bore dissociation, but somewhat close) and frankly, in situations like this, it's helping protect me & my sanity.
Go outside.
Go for a walk or run.
Meet up with friends who aren't covidiots - and don't give me that BS; there are prob more of us than the covidiots.
MAKE NEW FRIENDS.
We ALL have lost friends, family, etc. whether to illness or figuratively to covidiocy..... we ALL have to rebuild our lives & social circles.
But now's a time to build better with people who truly align with us, who we are, what we believe, etc.
How many relationships have you had in your life simply because they've always been there?
Just because you've known someone forever, doesn't make it a great, healthy friendship.
Talking about how we have all lost friends and have to rebuild our circles hit home. As bad as it is, and as shitty as it has been, I now know I need an entire new social circle. I may be alone but at least I’m awake.
This has been really hard for me. I have left two organizations because I want to slap them and say “you created this mess”. I used to really enjoy the groups I was in, but no longer can stand to be around these liberals. It’s the first thing I find out about people. Not going to waste my time with leftists.
This hit home. Currently looking at new jobs because mine is in the center of a leftist hellhole and fully onboard with mandates. Praying things work out.
Try to get out of the area if you are in a super liberal area. Moving is tough, but your life may depend on it. I am in a suburb of Ga. Things are pretty normal here even if we are dealing with Atlanta bs and the stolen senate elections in 2020. Hopefully we will turn the senators back to Republicans soon. But many states are relatively free. Find one, take a deep breath and move. You’ll be happier in the long run.
And opening one's eyes is the first thing one has to do at the start of a new day; a new day where there is still so much to learn, so much to change, and so much to grow.
We are never alone, just seperated but for a time from those that truly care for us.

You aren't alone, as evidenced by this board, but most of us haven't found each other. And might be a little wary about trying.
