This is my reaction whenever I hear anyone mention literally anything about covid-19.

My daughter's friend just cancelled/postponed her wedding two weeks before the event because of the variant.
I just can't believe it. The millennial generation is the most brain washed and fearful of COVID. There is so much that goes into planning a big wedding and to cancel it because of a "mild flu" is just crazy and not rational at all.
They think it's rationale because the experts said so
Exactly...I keep trying to bring her to her senses, but the fear is just too great to overcome.
Sometimes I think it's because almost all of the millennial generation just had vaccines growing up...for mumps, measles, chicken pox. They never had any of the childhood diseases that I had when I was younger.
I experienced chicken pox, mumps, measles when I was in elementary school and I remember just staying home from school for a week and then it was over.
If she is that fearful, the groom is dodging a bullet, whether he knows it or not. A life with someone who is ruled by fear is pure misery.
Can't up Kek this post more.
Vests123, what you should be doing is NOT talking to your daughter, but the groom. And make sure he understands the total ramifications if he goes through with it.
I love my daughters, and will support them pretty much most of the way. But if either one did this because of that reason, I'd be telling the groom to RUN AWAY! Mostly because the wouldn't have gotten to that point without my respect. I'd never tell my daughters WHO to marry, but I can certainly warn the potential groom.
