We are all hurting in every way right now. Everything costs so much, just putting gas in the car, if you have one, is painful. You are not alone. We are all feeling this squeeze right now. You did everything you could. You kept the lights on, you paid the rent. You worked your ass off.
This will be a christmas to remember, not because presents were abundant, but because you fought through it, and provided what you could. It's more than enough. If you are alone this Christmas, you are sadly mistaken. You have all of us here. Just speak out, we are family.
It's only a "dark winter" if we make it so.
I disagree, I believe Santa was Satan turning a Saint into his own twisted image. St. Nicholas the bishop of Myra loved Christ a great deal, there was a man who had three daughters and he was going to sell each off because he had no money and no way to provide for them. Instead St. Nicholas took a sack of money and threw it through his window to which the first daughter was able to be married off, he did this for the next two girls on the third girl the man waited to see who was giving this money and when he discovered it was St. Nicholas he thanked him greatly. St. Nicholas gave to the poor out of his love for Christ and this isn't taught anymore "Santa" is a twisted distortion of this holy saint.
Psyop implies it was done by the government does it not?
What… Santa is an anagram of Satan!!!. Now I’m throughly convinced he was used to make people forget about why we even celebrate Christmas. We barely see the nativity scene anymore. None of the Christmas tunes that are more religious in nature are played on the radio. People say “Happy Holidays” instead of merry Christmas at least here in LA. I still say merry Christmas bc…which freaking holiday??? They are systematically trying to make use forget about Christmas.
Where can I learn more about this. I have never been able to find anyone who has details on why Nicholas was a Saint. It was just because "he was so kind & gave stuff away".
Sure, I can link you from our synaxarium.
Thank you. Some interesting information there about St. Nicholas & some other saints.
There's another website I like to use for our synaxarium but the search functions on those websites are kinda unfriendly unless you know their Arabic names some times.
I have learned a ton about the saints from the readings at church like things I didn't know, I didn't know St. Peter and St. Paul both died at the same time. Or that St. Mark the evangelist was dragged behind a horse till his head was ripped off.
The Church has never been "subverted" and the cross is not an idol. It is a powerful symbol from which Christ defeated death on and the devil flees from it.
I am not sure what you mean by this at all, I am not Roman Catholic, I am Oriental Orthodox, I grew up Protestant and was an atheist even dabbled into Satanism at one point then a few years ago God led me to the Coptic Orthodox Church.
Our Church was founded by St. Mark the Evangelist, we have changed very little since he founded us we can say we follow the same faith as the Apostle whom Christ taught (changes that have happened are things like the Nicene Creed where we say what we believe to combat heresies like Arianism). Even our Liturgy is taken from the Bible, which yesterday something even cooler I learned is the Bible is also based around the Liturgy! As in these times there were no printed Bibles (there wasn't even an established canon the one we use is extremely close to the list that St. Athanasius wrote down) so people went to the Church (Liturgy) and we're able to hear the word of God.
So to laugh at this, if you mean so in a mocking way shows you actually know very little about the Christian faith. To say something like the Cross is an idol is a very demonic thing to say, many times the saints have made the sign of the cross and the demons have fled from them.
I am very proud of my faith because I finally have a real relationship with God when previously I was lost in darkness.
