That's wonderful. I struggled to read it for years after I got saved: I was going through a very rough time and messages of God's love and blessings seemed out of reach. Knew I had to persevere as there was no way I wanted to return to the darkness. Accepting God's love is hard for those who grew up without any, takes time for trust to grow. Whenever I was under attack the Lord would patiently show me the progress I'd made; healing, release from all kinds of problems. Little by little He brought me on, my faith has grown to the point where I am ready to step out of the boat and walk on water, if called to.
Daily readings are now a joy, not a duty: I am constantly amazed at how it speaks directly to whatever situation I am in. Answers, encouragement and reproof when needed - I often think the Good Book reads me. God's love and wisdom are beyond comprehension. So thankful for the contentment and peace I now have.
As I've evolved into a better thinker. I'm curious now to see how much the Bible resonates.
