The tide has turned and I have noticed that I am usually the only un-masked in Home Depot or Alberton's here in sunny La Mirada California - about 15 miles east of Los Angeles.
Most times I there are few interactions with normies and the check out people never say anything regarding the posted mask requirement.
But, three times in the last week I have been confronted by customer normies.
Next time I want to be better prepared with a rational response.
Here is what happened:
1st - While pushing his cart passed me, a masked normy mumbled "jeez - put a mask on". I ignored him.
2nd - Standing in line, a double masked normy grunted under his mask when he spotted my naked face. He than turned around and told me to distance, since I was mask-less. I said that there is no distance requirement and that I don't wear face masks. I held my ground and he paid and left. I saw him commiserating with other masked normies in the parking lot as I walked past him to my car.
3rd - An masked, obese unhealthy, 60+ year old man in line told me that if his arm was not broken he would kick my ass - fyi I am 60. I told him to get a life and I held my ground. He continued complaining to me and the check out girl until he paid and left. I stayed silent. The check out girl had nothing but kind words for me after he left.
Next confrontation I am going to be prepared with something like this:
"I cannot wear a mask safely. I have a medical exemption, I am suffering from pragmatism, common sense, and the love of liberty."
Thoughts?
Would you mind telling me what exactly you went through that first time? You said you had a higher fever the first time. How high? What other symptoms did you have? Vomiting? Chills / sweats? Aches? What did you experience? Thanks.
About a 102. At night I had sweats sometimes and chills like a normal flu feeling. The one thing that seemed different is everything felt like an effort even moreso than when you are normally sick. Just got winded easy almost like I started smoking again. Never threw up or had the shits. Just had to lay down for about 2 days but after that felt on the upswing. I did take the Dr. Z vitamins and quercetin as I had no HCQ or IVM. Drank a lot of water as I sweat more than I had chills. The one part that stuck for a while is the everything felt like an effort feeling where I wasn't 100% aerobically or muscle fatigue set in faster than usual for about 6 weeks I felt normal again.
2nd time I was sick only a slight fever barely over 100. Also didnt have the lingering fatigue like first time around.
Thanks very much. Appreciate the details. Seems like it can be quite different for different people. Glad yours wasn't too bad. Laying in bed sleeping for a couple of days sure beats vomiting your guts out.
