Technological progression. We always need to push for that. A large chunk of our economy and country wide defense and infrastructure is based on being the bleeding edge of technology that the rest of the world doesn't have.
Certainly we want to be at the helm of advancements instead of China.
In terms of our military might? We definitely are.
We also have one of the better infrastructures, but unfortunately this is dependent on where you live and state laws etc.
Our internet and commute isn't as advanced as, say, Japan or South Korea on a country-wide basis, but we have the capacity to exceed it if we got past all our government corruption.
