That's because that's what cops do with their unchecked power of the state and their qualified immunity which keeps them safe from any form of civil litigation regardless of what they do. Cops are a corrupt breed of power hungry bullies, and it always makes me laugh to see the people proudly displaying "Don't tread on me" also support the cops.
