For me the burden of proof is backwards from what most consider. Every single person that didn’t come toward is suspect to me and had to prove they didn’t know - not us have to prove they did. It’s as it should be in cases like this.
I’ve seen judges go to mental hospitals and take advantage of kids that couldn’t report it - and this was systemic.
This shit absolutely happens. People pretending it doesn’t are knowingly gaslighting everyone and even themselves in many cases
McQueary reported it directly to Paterno. He also reported to athletic director Tim Curley, Vice President Gary Schultz, and the police (as corrupt as they come). Graham Spanier resigned, no admission that he knew, but of course, he did. No inquiry for almost a decade while so many of the other demons (who financed and participated) were able to disappear and continue their depravity and abuse elsewhere, no doubt. What you said about judges interviewing severely traumatized children to disqualify their testimony is quantifiably evil. It's easy to understand why so many refuse to wake up to the wickedness of this world. Most are not mentally equipped to see the big, ugly picture, which is why the drip, drip, drip, drops were necessary. God bless these children and adult survivors, I keep them in my heart and prayers close to my savior and protector Jesus Christ. Thank you for the interesting and often profound conversations we have had over the year.
Jesus saved me. Learning about Spiritual Warfare really helped. My added vantage point is to hat if I didn’t see a lot of this stuff first-hand I would probably doubt it. That’s why I understand the hesitance of so many to be willing to humor / accept etc.
At the end of the day what is the innocence of a child worth?
What are you personally willing to do to keep that child’s life safe and pay your debt to following generations?
Those are simple questions and how we answer them defines us.
It’s what makes us human and not bodies of darkness.
%100.
