Viruses, bacteria, fungi, and parasites are all categories of pathogens (even though not all of them are pathogenic). Yes, you treat them differently, but you still treat them with some sort of therapy, because they also cause infectious diseases.

Sorry to come off like an asshole.

We call them "Microorganisms", if you graduated High School.

The difference between a virus and bacteria is an order of magnitude.
