The burka is really more insulting to men, than to women... telling men that they aren't capable of handling themselves around women, and that society must cover women, so as to prevent men from going bananas over seeing women's skin/hair in public... Quite grotesque really.
If you think that forcing women to always wear something like that constantly is ACTUALLY more insulting to the men around them, then maybe you should reconsider things. It's obviously much more of an insult and oppressive to the women forced to wear them and have no freedoms of their own, than is the implication that meh can't control themselves. Would you feel worse by me saying you can't control yourself around women or by forcing you into oppressive clothing you don't want to wear by threat of violence?
It's demeaning to human beings, both men and women. If you are arguing over who this is more insulting to - men or women - then I think you might be looking for the social justice forum next door. That's what they do: divide, and pit victimhood against victimhood.
