i had never heard of Ron Paul,
until i heard that someone was trying to censor Ron Paul...
The Streisand Effect kicked in, and so i wanted to hear for myself, what Ron Paul had to say...
and the things that Ron Paul said, kinda blew me away, and it puzzled me greatly as to WHY the media was actively censoring him.
the censorship, un-personing, the de-platforming, was every day.
if there was a TV news poll of leading candidates, Ron Paul's name would "accidentally" get left off the poll.
Ron Paul would be excluded from debates, etc.
They even went so far, as to fabricate a "Santorum Surge" to artificially inflate Rick Santorum's Iowa Caucus poll numbers into 2nd place, as a way to keep Ron Paul out of 2nd place,
but when you go back, and listen to what Ron Paul says, on almost any subject, you will find that he has a very intelligent, well-informed opinion on the matter.
and thats why he was a threat to the establishment,
and thats why he was censored constantly,
and thats why i had never heard of Ron Paul...
I voted for him in 1988 when he ran for President as a Libertarian. It was the first year I was old enough to vote. I was told I couldn't vote 3rd party, that it was throwing my vote away, immoral, evil, anti-american, etc, etc and I had to hold my nose and vote R because of abortion, Supreme Court picks, war, etc. (Grew up in a conservative church/homeschool environment). First, I didn't like being told who to vote for. 2nd, I couldn't vote for HWBush, he just oozed evil to me even as an 18 yr old without having done any research on politics yet. From then on I only voted 3rd party. Until Dr. Paul ran on the R ticket. And then for Trump, tho I was reluctant about him but my husband realized the dream well before I did.
Me and my husband tried to become delegates for him in our small county. First the caucus changed locations without telling us. Then we were bullied out by Santorum people. The Church-going-religious-All-About-Abortion-so-Slimy-Santorum-is-our-man supporters who also were our neighbors (and friends??) turned nasty and broke the caucus rules to keep us Ron Paul nuts out. The RNC local caucus guy was going deaf, he couldn't hear us try to explain rules that were being broken, it was a pathetic mess.
I left politics then. Didn't even delve into it again until Trumps 3rd year, before I saw hope again.
BTW, Ron Paul's books are amazing. A lot of them used to be online for free. Not sure now, but they are certainly worth the read.
