They gave meaning to people with no meaning in their lives. Wear a mask protect others. Ok! I'm a hero look what I did! What a vax to save lives? I'm like a paramedic, I'm saving lives! I need a booster to keep saving lives? Hell yes, my empty life has so much meaning now. As a side benefit, since their lives have no meaning they get to vent their self hated for being a waste of space on any who would belittle their life saving efforts.
