We assume that Trump was aware/supportive of the "donation." It doesn't directly implicate some kind of conspiracy or quid pro quo... I mean, if somebody is going to give me $1 million, I'll definitely take it. It's a donation after all. Now, if they give it to me and then ask for a favor later on, without my prior agreement to honor said favor, well then I'd just tell them to bugger off. Granted, if they are powerful enough, they could try to threaten me with coercion. Perhaps that was attempted with pressure put on Trump to push jabs to help "FISAer" make money? Did Trump own or trade any stock in these pharma companies? Did he actually make any financial gain from them?
